I wear one myself and so does Suzanne. The minimal maintenance required is a battery every 3-5 years. We live in Florida and spend a lot of time at the beach in salt water. All I do is check the screw down crown on my man's Signature before I go in the water to make sure it is tight. I don't ever find it loose unless I have just set it or changed the date and didn't fasten the crown properly. But it is just a smart habit.
